Playground
Survey
Here's a simple survey you can carry out in
your class or playground.
Try to ask as many people as you can, but you will want at least
fifteen subjects (that is, people!) for a decent set of results.
There are two questions, and question will need a separate bar
chart for the results, but you might choose to ask only one of
the questions - or to make up more of your own and come up with
even more results!
Questions:
How often do you have fish for supper?
Once a week; more than once a week; once a month; never
Do
you think that fish makes you brainier?
Yes; No; Don't know
You
can represent the results in two simple bar charts. For the first
question, name the vertical axis "Number of children."
Call the horizontal axis "Frequency of fish suppers,"
with individual bars representing each of the four answers.
For
your second question, call the vertical axis "Fish makes
you brainier" and the horizontal axis "What they thought"
and have three individual bars representing the three possible
answers.
We'd
like to know what results you come up with!
